Stair Projects

Atrium Ranch Stair Project

This was a very exciting remodel for us. The owners had an existing stair going to the lower level finish basement. It consisted of walls and columns supporting the stair. We offered a design that would allow natural light from the atrium windows.

Atrium Stair Remodel

This stair was a total demo/rebuild. The homeowners once again wanted a more traditional look for their newly remodeled home. Also allowing more natural light into the home.

We removed the existing stair totally and reframed a new design. A more open feel for the lower level finish basement. Paint/Stain combo. 6-1/4” Flat Panel Box Newels, Custom handrail. Balusters will be ORB Gothic Series iron. More pictures to come …

A 1st floor to 2nd floor “F” Shape Stair

The homeowners on this project had an “F” Shape staircase going up to the 2nd floor that was totally encapsulated in carpet with Pine newels, rails, and balusters.

We decided to go with a Modern/Contemporary Design with horizontal balustrade. Paint/Stain Combo (Red Oak for Stain/Poplar for Paint). 3-1/2” Square newels with custom cap. Contempo handrail with finger groove.

3 Story Single Family Remodel

Another fun project for us! The homeowner did a total renovation of his 3 story home. He went with a rustic decor with #2 white oak flooring throughout, along with rustic/distressed beams, mantels, etc. Luckily for us, he also wanted the existing stairs to compliment the design/decor of the newly remodeled home. He opted to leave the Second Floor to Third Floor stair carpeted.

Atrium Stair Face Lift

The homeowner on this job knew exactly what he wanted. The original stair consisted of All Pine/Hemlock stained material with small newel posts, 6010 colonial handrail and skinny little wood balusters. We ended up with larger newel post, custom handrail with iron balusters.

The stairs themselves were in great shape. New cap, newels, and rail made a huge difference.

Can’t wait to see this stair all stained up with the balusters installed.

Circular Staircase

Circular Staircase from 1st floor to 2nd floor. Paint/Stain Combo, Red Oak/Poplar with 5/8” iron balusters. The framing on these is as much fun as the finish.

The “L Shape” Foyer

This is the classic “L Shape” stair. All Red Oak with 3-1/2” Hampton Series Newel Posts. 3” Custom Handrail. 1/2” Versatile Series Iron Balusters. The builder opted for half newels in place of rosettes at the wall connections.
